Dumont Dispatch - August 2007 edition
All the residents of the Borough of Dumont are anticipating the annual Dumont Day Extravaganza on Saturday, September 8, 2007. This day is geared toward creating a family-friendly atmosphere while helping to support the Borough’s various non-profit organizations. The morning will start off with the annual “Dumont Fall Run for Fun” at the Honiss Elementary School. This run will benefit the Ryan Caspare Fund to Fight Childhood Cancer. Dumont Day then starts at 10am and moves over to Memorial Park, where throughout the day families will enjoy rides for kids of all ages, tons of food, and games galore. Trinkets from crafters will be available for all the shoppers in the family. The Borough Stage will be the host to various shows that will run continuously throughout the day. Included in that line up will be performances by Broadway Bound Dance Center, Kurt Gallagher with fun music and stories for little ones and Magician by Andrew Hennelly. The fair will end at 6pm. If fireworks are what you like, then hold on to your hats and whatever else you can grab. At dark, the extravaganza will conclude the day’s events with a beautiful fireworks display at Dumont High School. Don't forget to save the date!
